General: Very Good condition red striped duofold vacumatic (duovac). This pen has been fully taken apart, cleaned, and polished by hand.
Filling: This is a vacuum filler. The plunger has been removed and a new deb-sized diaphragm as been placed. The original breather tube is present. The pen fills fully and easily with 6-8 presses of the plunger. There is some tranparancy to the striping that can be used to view the ink level.
Barrel/cap: Very good condition with no cracks or scratches. There is one spot on the cap that has been nicked. I\'ve included a photo. The clip can be rotated to cover this imperfection. The blind cap is very smooth to the barrel. There is some wear around the duofold imprint (Parker Duofold/Made in USA) - conservatively polished in this area to preserve the imprint. There is a second quarter 1941 date code as well.
Trim: The clip, cap band, and blind cap girdle are gold filled and appear to be fully intact. The clip is without the blue diamond - correct for the model. The Cap band has the \"Box Ellipse\" pattern and is secure without rotation. The blind cap girdle is also firmly attached and does not rotate.
Nib: The nib is 14K gold with simple \"Paker Pen/Made in USA\". The tipping is full and the nib is well-aligned. It writes a juicy fine line and is very smooth. There is some flexibility present with moderate pressure.
