``` Luang Pu Tim of Wat Phra Khao was one of the best modern geiji ajaans of our time before he passed away in March 2552 at the age of 96 years old. When he was young, he had the opportunity to study with both Luang Phor Chong of Wat Na Tang Nok and Luang Phor Sodh of Wat Paknam. Luang Pu mainly focused on practising samadhi bhavana with Luang Phor Sodh and stayed with him for many days and nights. He found that Luang Phor Sodh was very strict about the Dhamma Vinaya. He refused to accept any monetary offerings for his own use. One day when Luang Pu was with Luang Phor Sodh, two female devotees came to see him. The first woman asked, “Has my father, who has passed away been reborn yet?” and then the second woman spoke up, “What about my husband, sir? He has also passed away. I would like to know whether he has been reborn yet and where?”Luang Phor asked the two women to wait there for a while before walking upstairs to sit in samadhi. So Luang Pu Tim had to sit there and talk to them while waiting for Luang Phor Sodh to return and sit back at his original spot. Luang Phor Sodh told the first woman, “Your late father has already been reborn as a human, and he is living somewhere around your neighbourhood.”Then Luang Phor turned to the second woman and informed her, “As for your husband, he cannot be reborn as a human yet. He is still paying off his karmic debts he accrued.”The widow was concerned and asked further, “What kind of karma did my husband perform that is preventing him from being reborn?”Luang Phor replied, “The reason why your husband has not been reborn yet is because he accumulated very heavy kamma. When he was a young man, he also killed someone. The unwholesome kamma will keep him in Avici hell for some time.”Luang Pu Tim recounted his time with Luang Phor Sodh and his luksits realised that Luang Phor Sodh was truly amazing and could know many things in great detail. Tahn must have mastered the deepest samadhi and highest levels of concentration. Later when Luang Pu Tim became a master in his own right, one luksit jokingly asked, “Luang Pu, you always sit in meditation and prayers until late at night. Have you seen any numbers yet?”Luang Pu looked slightly annoyed and replied, “I have seen them but I cannot tell you. If I tell you the right numbers, people are going to have to pay out and I am at fault for causing them to lose money. If I tell you the numbers and they don’t come out, I am also wrong for causing you to lose money.
