Pimpernel Four Placemat Set, English Country Gardens, 16”x 12” Vintage England For Sale

This vintage set of four Pimpernel English Country Gardens placemats brings four gloriously lush English gardens right to the dinner table. Each mat features a different scene, complete with overflowing flower beds, winding paths, statuary, ponds, clipped hedges, and the sort of gardens that make the Attic Mouse wonder why her own yard doesn't look like this.

The set includes all four placemats, along with the original Pimpernel box AND original informational insert, which we were frankly delighted to find still hanging around.

Made in England, these are Pimpernel's De Luxe Finish placemats. Each measures approximately 16" x 12" and has a cream border with brown detailing.

Condition:
The placemats themselves are in very nice vintage condition, with light signs of previous use and storage.

Now, the box...

The box has had a life. 😂 It shows staining/soiling, scuffs, impressions and general shelf wear, and several corners/seams have torn and separated. We've photographed the damage closely because nobody enjoys a surprise involving cardboard. The original box is included despite its battle scars because it's part of the set's history and has somehow managed to keep these four placemats together all these years.

The original Pimpernel informational insert is also included.

Four tiny English gardens. Zero weeds. We really don't see the downside.

We loved that every placemat has a different scene, but finding the whole set still together with its original box and little Pimpernel insert sealed the deal. The box may be limping toward retirement, but the gardens inside are still ready for dinner.

Perfect for the cottage-loving, flower-growing, tea-drinking, traditional-table-setting person in your life. Or the person who kills actual plants but remains very enthusiastic about them in theory. 🌷
