This is an incredibly rare, fully intact piece of World War II-era history.
This is a figural clear pressed-glass military service cap candy container manufactured by the Pla-Toy Company of Greensburg, Pennsylvania during the 1940s.
While empty versions of this glass cap appear occasionally on the market, this specific specimen is completely unique because it still has its cardboard lid and with some of its original candy (don’t eat it, it’s old). There are no chips on the glass and it is in good condition. There is a small tear and discoloration on the cardboard, which is expected for the age.
