The entire fount and burner are made of brass. The lower part of the fount is reinforced with horizontal ribs for strength. The fount was leak tested with water, and no leaks were found. This lower portion is just under five inches in diameter. The burner has a new, unused, wick that smoothly moves up and down when the wick raiser is turned. The gallery is for a chimney with a two and one half inch fitter. The burner has one small crack. The part of the fount that shows, has a few small dents and dings.
