Hirohito was the eldest of four brothers, while Prince Takamatsu was the third son of Emperor Taisho.Prince Takamatsu was not only a member of the Imperial Family, but also a career officer of the Imperial Japanese Navy, eventually reaching the rank of Captain.This large commemorative medal was produced by the Japan Mint and measures approximately 60 mm in diameter, with a weight of approximately 84 g.One of the most interesting features of this example is the serial marking:800 / 800Only 800 examples were issued, and this piece is numbered No. 800 — the final number in the entire series.For collectors, special serial numbers such as the first, last, or repeating numbers can add another layer of interest and individuality.
