This is an unused Queen Cutlery #4185 GMB Premium Sabre Hunter made in Titusville, Pennsylvania. Saber-ground clip blade etched Queen Cutlery Co #4185 TOOL STEEL. Ricasso stamped crown-Q / TITUSVILLE, PA. PH-D2. Stabilized green maple burl scales, three brass pins, full tang. Original embossed leather sheath and factory box marked 4185 GMB / Q9785.
Removed from the box only for these photos. Queen shut Titusville in 2018. This set is not current production.

Condition Notes
New in box. Handled only for these photos. Unused blade, factory edge, clean burl, tight pins. Original box and leather sheath included. Sheath shows light storage rub on the hide — not field wear. Maple burl is unique slab to slab; the photos are this knife. What is pictured is what ships.
Description & History
Queen Cutlery ran in the old Schatt & Morgan building at 507 Chestnut Street, Titusville. Queen City started there after World War I, became Queen Cutlery in 1946, and shut the plant on January 10, 2018. Later owners kept the name. They did not keep this factory or this knife.
Pattern 4185 is Queen’s compact Sabre Hunter. Early Rawhide 4185s were 440 and Staminawood. This is the later Premium run: PH-D2 on the tang, green maple burl covers, box code GMB / Q9785. PH-D2 is the Titusville tool-steel mark collectors look for on these hunters — not a generic “D2” stamp from somewhere else.
Complete unused set: knife, crown-and-plume sheath, box labeled 4185 GMB.
