RARE 3pc Antique 1910 Dennison Halloween Diecut Tissue Paper witch leaf Garlands For Sale

Rare lot of three original antique Dennison Mfg. Co. Halloween tissue paper die-cut garlands on their original printed cardboard holders.One garland is identified as Dennison No. 817—the company’s “Decorated Hallowe’en” paper garland—and features wonderful orange-and-black Halloween imagery, including a witch silhouette. The holders are marked “Dennison’s Paper Garlands,” “Made for Special Holidays and in Various Colors,” and “Patented May 10th, 1898.”These appear to be early 20th-century decorations, likely dating from approximately the 1910s to early 1920s. The 1898 date shown on the holders is the patent date and not necessarily the exact manufacturing date.CONDITION:
All 3 garlands appear to have been previously opened or displayed.Also all 3 apparently used garlands have been unfolded or extended and not folded up properly. One of them has a Witch on a broom flying in front of a moon design. This design should significant loss and damage due not being stored properly. The 2 leaf designed garlands show quite a bit of folding to their outer paper ends and some folding of the layers in the wrong direction. If they are extended to their maximum lengths and their exact completeness cannot be verified without risking damage.Original cords and metal hanging rings remain present as pictured.No repairs or restoration have been attempted.These decorations are more than a century old and the paper is extremely delicate. They are being sold exactly as found and pictured.
