Here\'s a scarce cobalt blue crude applied lip Wharton\'s Chestnut Grove Whiskey pocket whiskey flask from the 1860 era....WHARTON\'S CHESNUT GROVE WHISKY 1850 boldly emb inside rope circle on front (notice the spelling)...Hand blown in mold, bimal....crude applied double ring collar....oval teardrop shape flask with rounded bottom, so will not stand upright on its own....deep cobalt blue...5 1/2\"tall...Excellent condition with only one tiny shallow surface chip on back; no other damage. A nice clean flask that is hard to find in this beautiful cobalt color. The tiny chip could easily be buffed smooth. A couple of these cobalt Wharton\'s flasks have brought over $900 in the last year, so the price is going up on them quickly!.Charles Wharton Jr of Philadelphia was the proprietor.
