Impressive oversized Paşabahçe Nahil decorative glass plate featuring an elaborate Ottoman ceremonial procession against a brilliant gold ground.Measuring approximately 22 inches across, this is a substantial statement-size piece. The colorful scene depicts numerous figures surrounding elaborate Nahil ceremonial structures, with remarkable detail throughout.The reverse is a major feature of this piece. Rather than being a plain gold back, it displays an intricate outlined/etched-style continuation of the Ottoman imagery across the gold surface. The fine figures, architectural details and procession imagery can be seen throughout the reverse and around the raised circular foot, giving the piece visual interest from both sides.
