**Counter Sample** When the factory received an approved "Paint Master" (Artist Original) an artist made three copies called Counter Samples. The Counter Samples were then sent back to Harbour Lights for approval. One Counter Sample was kept at the Harbour Lights office to be used as a reference for quality control.
The other two Counter Samples were sent back to the factory to be used as reference for the production painting.
They were not serialized and the felt may be different from the normal production replica.
This is Counter Sample 1, is the only one in the world, saved from the entire personal collection of the Bill Younger families - private collection.

Harbour Lights sadly went out of business iin 2010, but the Lighthouse Depot in the state of Maine acquired their entire private collection, which was stored in a warehouse. When the Lighthouse Depot went out of business. I was able to purchase this piece from the collection of Bill Younger’s greatest full collection.
