I have never seen any like them anywhere else. Very fair price for this collection of 6.Each plate measures approximately 8 1/2 inches in diameter and features a different coordinating botanical design with delicate branches, flowers, leaves, and muted colors. The asymmetrical naturalistic decoration has a wonderful French Aesthetic Movement / Japonisme influence, with an irregular brushed or daubed gilt border.
The backs carry both the green “H & Co / L” Limoges factory mark and the circular “Haviland & Co. Limoges”decorator mark.
These appear to be a deliberately coordinated set rather than mismatched plates, with each plate carrying its own individual botanical composition.
