It wasnamed in 1966 for Patricia Ann the daughter of the discoverer..It is found in the basalts of Michigan\'s Keweenaw Peninsula and is often mistaken for Thomsonite,due to its radial patterns, though it is distinct because of the copper inclusions.The native copper within the prehnite gives a beautiful array of bright copper flecks and small nuggets.
