Up for sale/sale is an incredibly rare, authentic 1950s Space Patrol Rocket Drink Mixer complete with its original illustrated box!Manufactured by Steri-lite (United Plastics of Fitchburg, MA) during the height of the Space Age, this translucent hot pink plastic rocket mixer (Model XY-7) is a spectacular piece of mid-century pop culture history.While famously collected as a Space Patrol television show premium for children\'s milkshakes, the original box proudly features dual-marketing, explicitly calling it \"A Novel Drink Mixer for Adults\" and noting it is \"Swell for cocktails!\"The super-rare original box features fantastic \"cutaway\" artwork of the Space Patrol rocket ship, showing the crew at work inside their futuristic command center on one side. This specific style of illustration is a classic hallmark of 1950s sci-fi design, mimicking the technical cross-section drawings that were incredibly popular in children\'s space books and comic strips at the time. The art depicts the show\'s characters – likely including Commander Buzz Corry and his sidekick Cadet Happy – operating atomic control panels, radar screens, and futuristic machinery clad in their signature yellow-and-red patrol uniforms.
