Rare and scarce 1878 first edition copy of Echoes of Song by Mrs. Lucy H. Washington, published in Springfield, Illinois by Edwin S. Walker.
An exceptionally hard-to-find Victorian-era poetry volume with beautiful original green cloth boards, embossed decorative corners, and bright gilt lettering to the front cover and spine. Printed and bound locally by H.W. Rokker of Springfield, Illinois.
The copyright page states:
“Entered in the office of the Librarian of Congress… in the year 1878.”
This appears to have been a small regional printing rather than a large commercial release, making surviving copies very scarce today. Very little market availability can be found for this title.
