Rare WW1 Trench Art 75mm Shell/ Repousse Full Figure Soldier w Medals/The Coward For Sale

Here is a very unusual one of a kind WW1 trench art 75mm French Artillery shell with a repousee embossed-out and engraved full figured soldier with medals pinned to his chest. His wife or girlfriend is giving him a welcoming hug as he drops the walking cane out of his hand. It is marked on base, " The Coward ". I assume the title is ironic as soldiers with shell shock or wounds were sometimes thought to be just trying to get out of the service and called cowards. The fact that he comes home with medals pinned to has chest and is in the embrace of a loving girl speak to how his cowardice was quite false and not real at all. The shell is an authentic French 75mm shell. See photos of bottom. It has an all original brownish patina. It also has the " AEF " symbol for The American Expeditionary Forces, a shield with date, " 1917 World War 1919 " and a four pointed star embossed out on back side. It is stippled all over the empty areas. The shell is a full 13 3/4 inches tall and has a piecrust type top edge.
