Reno National Championship Air Races "Hero's of Flight" September 1999 Program. Great condition, some wearing on left front side. Great piece of the Reno Air Race history, with great pictures and extra's. I was at this particular Air Race on a Saturday September 18th 1999. One I will never forget. In the Unlimited Race that day a tragic accident happened. Gary R. Levitz in Miss Ashley II came apart as it turned into a banking turn right in front of the crowd. Tragically Gary lost his life. It was a shocking, yet stunning event. My condolences to the Levitz family. One of the extra's I mentioned with this program is a rare 8 1/2 x 11 print, front and back of Miss Ashley II. It gives the history of the plane and team Levitz - Rogers Unlimited Racing Team. Priceless! I had visited the Levitz staging area earlier in the morning down in the pits, and I was given this print. Also, is a racing schedule that was printed out and installed in the program. Great collector item! No returns.
