Photo may have a curl, wear, tear, folds, or creases due to the old age of this photograph.Description: Based on the inscription from the back of the cabinet card and the information from the newspaper clipping, I believe this is a cabinet card photograph of a house and a family living in Rockford, Iowa. The newspaper clipping glued on the back of the cabinet card mentions that the town that this house is located at is on the Rock Island Railroad. I did research and found that Rockford, Iowa sat on the Rock Island Railroad before it was even officially recognized as Rockford, IA.
In the photograph, there is a victorian family outside in front of their beautiful victorian house/mansion. There is a man reading on a rocking chair along with a beautiful woman sitting on the front steps as well as their daughter and baby with the family dog.Condition: The overall condition of this cabinet card is good. The actual photograph has no visible signs of wear, tear, or stains. The cardboard from the cabinet card itself has a visible stain on the bottom left hand corner that is visible on the front and back side. See photos provided above.
