Handcrafted at a family-owned workshop in the Italian alps, this gleaming tea kettle is crafted from a single sheet of solid copper and topped with a cast-bronze finial in the shape of a lotus, a blossom regarded in many cultures as a symbol of purity, compassion and enlightenment.

• Crafted of hand-hammered copper for excellent heat conductivity.
• Interior is lined with durable nonreactive tin.
• Cast-bronze handle.
• Copper lid has a silicone gasket and is adorned with a sculptural cast-bronze lotus knob.
• Made in Italy.

Use

• Ideal for gas and electric cooktops (not induction-compatible).
• Oven safe to 430°F.
• To protect tin lining from damage, use low to moderate heat for stovetop cooking and do not heat pan empty or at temperatures above 430°F.
• Use wood, plastic or heat-resistant nylon tools to avoid scratching the tin lining.
• When pouring hot water, use your free hand and a potholder to secure the lid.

Care

• Allow pot to cool before washing.
• Hand-wash; dry immediately with a soft cloth.
• Avoid using steel wool, steel scouring pads or harsh detergents.
• Copper will develop a rich patina over time.
