This is a seldom seen deck of playing cards manufactured by the Russell Playing Card Co in the 1920\'s. They were made narrow for playing Bridge, a game hugely popular during this time period.
The deck is special because it is part of the company\'s \'Picture Back \' series that had art deco styled back designs with named pictures on the backs of the cards. This deck\'s picture is titled, \'Day Dreams\'.
The deck has most of its original gold edges, but shows signs of having been \'Euchred\'. Aside from that, the deck is in excellent condition. It includes all 52 cards, plus a very interesting joker that was also used for another line of cards called \'Smart Set\'.
This joker is highly desirable amongst joker collectors, especially in the narrow size. There is also an extra scoring card included.
The box is structurally excellent, but has several areas of damage to the outer box, mostly on the top of the tuck flap and around the tax stamp.
This is the only example of this line of cards, in narrow size, by Russell that I have ever seen.
