SPRING ARBOR MICHIGAN CIVIL WAR 1863 LETTER FROM 25TH PENN VETERAN TO MOTHER For Sale

William H Anglemyer and Brother Elisha were raised in Spring Arbor, Michigan and both served in the War. William enlisted at Doylestown, Pennsylvania in 1861 into the 3 Month 25th Pennsylvania Infantry. Brother Elisha enlisted with the 4th Michigan Cavalry under Colonel Robert Minty. An Original Civil War 4pp Double Letter with a striking Federal eagle n shield , \"Liberty and Union Now and Forever\". The first 2 pages written by Written by William , now a civilian again, at Spring Arbor, April 27, 1862 to his Mother Rose- he mentions he hasn’t seen Brother Elisha in 2 weeks, Father has gone South, and also provides also news of farming and kin, .and ends on page 2 with \" From William Angelemeyr. to his Dearest Mother Rose Anglemyer\". The 3rd and 4th page are written by his Aunt Nancy Struble to sister Rose, sending her travel plans and love, and sgd \"your Affectionate Sister Nancy Strudle to Rose\". Comes w service info- William served w the 3 Month unit, the 25th Penn from April to August in early 1861 when the men were discharged after guarding various Washington forts. He is buried at Spring Arbor, Brother Elisha enlisted August, 1862 with the 4t Michigan Cavalry taking part in the Battles at Nashville and Stone River, serving until his death from Smallpox April, 1863 .
