This is a knife of my own design and it is influenced by some other bush knives and traditional colonial knives.This model is called the \"Maximum\" because it is capable of starting a campfire, processing wood, and is made of the highest quality materials. Throughout my life, I have used many different knives in the woods, and I have implemented most of my favorite qualities into this model of knife. Those qualities were implemented so that it will perform amazingly and be a valuable tool for any outdoorsman.

The blade is O1 tool steel and has a very durable geometry overall. The Scandi edge is shaving sharp, and the whole blade is polished to a semi-mirror shine which prevents corrosion due to water not having a chance to pool on the blade. Its balance is shifted forward so that the force while chopping is put into the belly of the blade to cut more efficiently, but it also serves as a safety feature where the tip will fall to the ground first if accidently dropped.The steel is tempered to a hardness of about 60hrc which allows it to absorb shock as well as be very strong.It has a 90 degree spine that is used to strike the handmade ferro rod and scrape wood for fire tinder. Oneis included with the knife because having the ability to make fire can really be a lifesaver and a useful tool. One of the pictures shows me using a testing ferro rod to illustrate this use.

The handle is made from South Carolina Persimmon which has been stabilized in resin to resist weather. This material was made in house and was chosen due to persimmon\'s already high hardness and weather/moisture resistance from being stabilized. Also, this piece specifically shows beauty in the knife with the contrasting dark and light colors. The handle is attached Loveless bolts and a lanyard tube that will not corrode from moisture.Loveless bolts, invented by the master knifemaker Bob Loveless, are a type of machined screw that that holds the handle together with a mechanical connection in addition to the epoxy bonds.In addition, the construction includes black and white G10 liners that create a stronger epoxy bond and blend from the blade to the handle. The handle is made to fit even people with larger hands. It is shaped like a coke bottle, which allows the handle to be held comfortably in different positions and grips. The pommel swell also keeps the knife in the user\'s hand while performing chopping tasks alongside the ability to attach a lanyard.

A quality knife needs a fitting sheath. The sheath is hand-stitched and has 10 oz leather to increase durability. It has a lanyard spot to tie it to your leg or a pack, a regular belt loop to be carried on your hip, a removable dangler loop that is very comfortable to be carried from, and a slot for the ferro rod.The ferro rod\'s holster is even sewn to prevent loosening over time.The dangler loop is attached by a hand forged D-ring, which provides a charm and strength. The dangler loop allows the knife to be accessible even when a jacket or heavy duty backpack is worn It also allows flexibility so that the knife will not poke the wearer in tasks such as getting in and out of a car (pictured) or even horseback riding.The sheath is also sealed with beeswax , which makes water bead off of it, and it has a drainage hole at the bottom to prevent moisture from staying on the knife.

This robust design of knife is the perfect tool for any outdoorsmen, from ordinary campers, to even frontiersmen and those who need to rely on one strong, versatile tool. The exceptional craftsmanship, character, and balance is like no other American custom knife. This knife was handmade in South Carolina but will perform well in any climate from a desert to forests, to even the tropical jungles.
