Savannah, Ga. 1905 Receipt From A Downtown Business For Sale

This is a 1905 receipt from a downtown Savannah business called the Delmonico Company, which sold “fancy groceries, teas and coffees” as well as “imported & domestic wines & liquors, table delicacies, domestic & imported cigars.” The business was located on the southeast corner of Bull and York streets on Wright Square. The beautiful letterhead shows a drawing of the building and elegant handwriting. This is truly a rare document.
