Scarce 1900s \"Old Dad\" cedar 50 cigar box in very good condition For Sale

This scarce 1900s \"Old Dad\" cedar 50 cigar box, measuring 4 3/4\" x 7 3/4\" x 2 1/2\" is in very good condition. Almost all of the binding remains. The gold embossed interior label has some very minor discoloration. The hinge is in excellent working order. There is a very slight warp on the lid. There is a nearly complete tax stamp. The cigars were manufactured by Gay and Sons, Hastings, NE in Factory 129, District of NE. This graphics for this very interesting box were designed by the American Lithography Company, New York, NY. They feature a detailed black and white image of a smiling man wearing a suit jacket, bow tie and straw hat. He is encircled by an ornate gilded oval frame with cherubs flying on either side.
