Inside are pressure-sensitive, evacuated metal capsules. As the atmospheric pressure changes, the capsules expand or contract as the mechanical linkage moves the pointer.After you receive it, it should be calibrated. First, ask Seri or your I Phone for the current atmospheric pressure. Then, open the glass cover and, using a very small slot-head screwdriver, turn the small slot-head pin slowly while looking at the black needle on the face. Turn the screwdriver left or right to the current pressure setting. It will then display correct changes in pressure over time.Use the adjustable needle at the center of the glass cover to show changes of the pressure, up or down, over time.
