This Solid Incolay Stone Collector Plate 'To A Skylark' by Gayle Bright Appleby is a SIGNED decorative collectible made California in 1979. It comes with the certificate of ownership and a nicely written description of the piece.
This plate is the third in a series of limited-edition plates, "The Romantic Poets" and belongs to an edition permanently closed in 1979.
It is made of solid Incolay stone and has a diameter of 10 1/8", is about 1 1/4” thick and weighs 2 lbs 4 oz. The metal description piece on the back is covered with a clear coating. This coating has raised up in a few small places. If you enlarge the picture of the back of the plate, you should be able to see them. It seems to be due to the age of the item.
