Gold leafing around the lip of the bowl and each glass shows evidence of some wear. There is a single Pair of Gold Galloping Horse images on the outside of the bowl which is in good Condition. The word JAPAN is on the bottom of the bowl and each cup. This stoneware has been made for over 300 years on a small island in Japan but after the disaster at the Fukushima Power Plant the entire village where this product was made had to be evacuated. While it may get up and running again, there is doubt as to whether the quality will be as good. As a result, many pieces of this beautiful Japanese pottery will get harder to find.
