The Chaparral is a plant native to the Wester U.S. that is known for its ability to regenerate after harsh weather conditions and even wildfires. Its resilient spirit makes it a fitting namesake for Spyderco\'s immensely popular Chaparral series, which celebrates a diverse range of handle materials by incorporating them into the same, sleek prestige folder format. The Chaparral Lightweight offers the same refined design theme as the other members of its family, but expresses it with injection-molded fiberglass-reinforced-nylon (FRN) handle scales. They feature a Bi-Directional Texture pattern for a secure grip and help make this version of the Chaparral affordable and practical. Its full-flat-ground, leaf-shaped blade is crafted CTS XHP stainless steel and fully serrated. It is supported by nested, skeletonized stainless steel liners, a sturdy back lock mechanism, and stainless steel backspacer. To balance discreet carry and instant access, the handle includes a deep-pocket wire clip that is reversible for left or right-side tip-up carry.
