Fun and unusual vintage pair of monkey bookends by Sterling Industries of Atlanta, Georgia. Each features a seated monkey figure finished in an antique gold/bronze tone atop a substantial black pedestal base with gold trim and decorative gold accents.
Original labels remain on the bottoms and read “Sterling Industries, Atlanta, Georgia – Made in Phils.” Stock No. 4-83061.
These have a great Hollywood Regency / traditional eclectic look and would make a statement on a bookshelf, desk, library shelf, or office.
Condition: Pre-owned vintage condition with age-related wear. One bookend has a repair to a back corner of the base. There is also a small crack on the back of that bookend; it does not affect the structural integrity. These imperfections cannot be seen from the front. Please review all photos closely, including the close-up condition photos.
