A handsome Stoney Point Decoys wooden goose carving, measuring approximately 15.5 inches from beak to tail. Produced by the Hornick family\'s Stoney Point Decoys of Virginia, the piece reflects the Chesapeake Bay decoy tradition in a clean, sculptural form designed for decorative display.

The goose features a beautifully shaped elongated neck, gently rounded body, tapered tail and finely carved head and bill. The natural stained finish allows the grain of the wood to remain an important part of the design, with subtle variations in tone giving the carving warmth and character. Inset eyes and lightly incised facial details complete the understated presentation.

The underside bears the circular “STONEY POINT DECOYS” maker\'s stamp.
