Here is a gorgeous boulder opal, weighing about 392 grams (13.83 oz.), from the Winton boulder opal area in the most northern region ofQueensland’s opal fields in central outback Queensland. It is the largest opal mining area in theworld, in very remote outback areas. Winton opals are known for their brilliantcolors.
It measures about 2.88\" at the longest measurement (73.1 mm).
