Great vintage postcard!
ITEM DESCRIPTION:
- Type: Printed linen texture postcard with a divided back.
- Publisher & Photographer: Published by Royal Specialty Sales, 120 Queen St. E., Toronto, Canada. A Colourpicture Publication made in Canada. Photographer is uncredited.
- Subject Matter: Vibrant night scene of Yonge Street in Toronto, capturing numerous historic neon signs including the Edison Hotel, Le Coq d'Or Tavern, Biltmore, and local theaters with vintage automobiles lined along the street.
- Postal History: Unposted with a clean reverse side. Card index number K3135 printed at top center.
- Historical Interest: Documents the mid-century entertainment district of downtown Toronto during the height of the neon sign era. Le Coq d'Or and the Edison Hotel were landmark music and nightlife hubs along this strip during the 1950s and 1960s.
CONDITION:
Excellent unused condition with minor corner softening and very light edge wear. Reverse side is exceptionally clean with no writing, stamps, or postal marks.My postcards are in good or better condition and are standard sized (3.5"x 5.5") unless noted.
