Thislisting is for two custom buttons made from an Italian hand painted Egyptian cotton fabric from Mariano Fortuny entitled \"Malmaison\". Fortuny design #5225color blue white and silvery gold stripes. This is a current pattern but a retired colorway.The buttons measure approximately 1.5\" diameter. There is only one set of two buttons available. These buttons are made on a professional die cut and crimp button machine. They are NOT your home-made hammered buttons that are bought at your local craft store. They are NOT mass-produced buttons. Each button was hand produced by Walsh Designs. The faceof the buttons is madefrom Fortuny\'s Italian hand painted Egyptian cotton fabricentitled \"Malmaison\". The pattern \"Malmaison\" was fashioned after the military stripe wallpaper in Josephine Bonaparte\'s greatest project, a once derelict estate on Paris\'s outskirts named \"Chateau Malmaison\".The button patterns are random and no two are alike. This fabric is imported from Italy andretails for $760.00 a yard. The buttons are a metal crimp button with a shank back.These would make a great addition to drapes, pillows or even clothing.
