This Task Force Griffin OEF VI challenge coin captures a specific chapter of Afghanistan deployment history through an unusually detailed multi-unit design. The combination of the Task Force Griffin identity, Wings of Victory inscription, command presentation wording, and 2005β2006 Afghanistan markings gives this piece a strong connection to the operational environment represented on the coin.
The obverse places the flaming griffin emblem at the center, surrounded by multiple distinctive unit insignia arranged within a deep blue enamel border.
