Rare Vintage Menu / Wine List - The Sagamore Hotel \"Wines, Liquors and Beers\" - Post Prohibition - Lake George, NY — circa 1933–1934

A wonderful piece of vintage menu ephemera from The Sagamore, the iconic Adirondack resort on Lake George in Bolton Landing, New York.

This original bar and wine menu was almost certainly printed shortly after Prohibition repeal in December 1933 — one of the first formal beverage menus the hotel would have produced in over a decade. It features a green pebbled softcover with heraldic crest vignette. Four interior pages listing cocktails, wines, champagnes, sparkling wines, cordials, mixed drinks, whiskey/gin/rum/brandy, and beers and ales. Approximately 9\" tall. Good condition with a bend to the cover; interior pages clean and fully legible.

The wine vintages tell the story: the list is anchored by 1929–1931 German Moselles and Rhinewines alongside a Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label 1929 — exactly the kind of recently imported stock a resort would have rushed to serve once legal again. The youngest vintage on the list is a 1931 Moselle, placing the printing no earlier than 1932, and the overall vintage profile points squarely to 1933–1934.
