Gorgeous and detailed Thewalt Vintage Western Germany Pottery Beer Stein with all over Relief Design and hinged Pewter Lid. Depicts a German couple in traditional clothing in the woods with their cottage on one side and a deer on a hill on the other. Deep blue background with crisp colors. The handle looks like a tree branch. One side has the saying, "I mag di leiden"
And the other side has, "I hab di gar so gern." This stein is from the late 1940's or early 1950's and is in excellent condition. Pewter lid has some patina. No chips or cracks. Will be carefully packaged. Please view all photos carefully.
