Three handmade miniature Awajún pottery bowls. This set of three was handmade by the Awajún community of Cocoashi in Amazonas, Peru.In 2021 the Awajún process of making ceramics was inscribed onto the UNESCO list of Intangible World Heritage. This elegant process includes many steps of making pottery only from materials found in the rainforest, and marked with patterns referring to the nature around the community. The bowls are entirely handmade: the clay came directly from from the earth, they were formed by human hands, and the designs and glaze are entirely made from materials found in the rainforest.
These little nesting bowls work well in a dollhouse kitchen or dining room setting, display item in any other room, or as a collectible for their own merit.
