The Micro Chef custom fixed blade knife from maker Tom Krein is a compact EDC fixed blade knife design optimized for food processing while still offering utility for cutting tasks ranging for wood craft and hunting to every day tasks. Just under three inches of razor sharp 3V tool steel make this drop point a slicing powerhouse while Tom's blasted Blue G10 with Black Liners handle provides comfort and control thanks to his highly ergonomic design.
The short drop point blade of the Micro Chef takes inspiration from Japanese Santoku kitchen knives. The Satin Finished 3V tool steel blade is fully flat ground to a very fine edge that provides excellent cutting performance. A gradual distal taper delivers a fine tip for piercing and detail work. The full tang construction is beautifully satin finished with the Krein Knives Logo and 3V marked on the blade. An integrated index guard pairs with the unique handle design for security in the hand.
