This is a vintage Conger battery-powered railroad signal lantern, featuring a rust-proof stainless steel body and a rubber-coated handle.

These lanterns were widely used by railroad brakemen and conductors for hand-signal communication during the mid-20th century.

It is in good overall condition. The switch moves smoothly and the lamps work. There is an extra set of bulbs inside the lid.

In order to keep the shipping weight down, the 6 volt lantern battery will not be included in the sale. These are readily available at your local hardware store or online.
