Unopened Breyer Stablemates #5702 Chestnut Foal Pair 1975-76 G1 Black Card
Rare original Breyer Stablemates No. 5702 Thoroughbred Lying and Standing Foals in chestnut, still factory sealed on their first-generation black blister card.
This is an original 1975–1976 Breyer Molding Co. release - a scarce survivor from the introduction of the Breyer Stablemates line and an excellent addition to a vintage Breyer, Maureen Love mold or original-packaging collection.

The earliest Stablemates packaging used a molded plastic tray beneath the clear blister to hold the models in place. This package retains that original insert, both foals and the complete printed card.

The two foals appear to be in great overall condition when viewed through the package. Their original chestnut finishes, darker manes and tails, solid faces and leg markings remain clearly visible.
There is a visible paint smudge on the pale lower inside portion of the standing foal’s right hind leg. Because the package remains sealed, the models’ undersides, belly stamps and surfaces hidden by the insert cannot be fully examined. No guarantee is made regarding marks or wear that cannot be seen through the blister.
The original package is complete and legible but shows age and storage wear consistent with a roughly 50-year-old blister card.
Observed package wear includes:
• Creases and bowing/warping of the cardboard
• Age toning and discoloration
• Edge and corner rubbing
• Surface scratches and handling wear
• Tearing and wear around the hanger hole
• Clouding/yellowing, scratches and scuffs on the clear blister
• Some deformation of the blister
• Age discoloration and holes in molded white insert where foals have rubbed through
The blister is attached around its perimeter - note: the very bottom is not glued at the factory. The models have never been removed.
Please examine all photographs carefully, especially the hanger area, card edges, blister attachment and visible wear.
The packaging is an important part of this item’s history and collector value. It has not been opened, repaired, cleaned or otherwise altered.
