VA-83 Rampagers Challenge Coin - Large & Beautiful - For Sale

Offered here is a beautiful and impressive challenge coin that commemorates the A-7 era for theRampagersof VA-83. The squadron flew the A-7 Corsair II from 1970 until 1988, and their home port wasNAS Cecil Field. The coin is 2\" wide, and 3mm thick, cast in gold-tone metal with great colors and texture. One side features the squadron insignia, with two Naval Aviator wings, and the \"RAM ON!\" logo. The other side of this coin is emblazoned with a silhouette of an A-7, as well as the emblems for CVW-17, the USS Forrestal and USS Saratoga, as well as the Ram insignias that were featured on the tails of the squadron\'s aircraft. Both sides of the coin are bordered in a gold rope motif. They would make a wonderful gift for anyone who served with VA-83, or would make a great addition to any collection.
