This is an original Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Past Post Commander lapel/hat pin badge. It features a gold-filled finish with blue enamel and the U.S. eagle insignia at center. Marked on the back “LGB 1/20 10K GF” indicating manufacture by L.G. Balfour Company and 1/20th 10K gold filled. This style pin was awarded to members who served as a Post Commander in the VFW. Please note: the threaded post on the back is bent (see last photo), and the screw-back nut that clamps the pin to the lapel is not included.
