This was purchased for me by my parents on a world trip through Thailand and Indonesia back in the 1950s. My mother\'s compact, similar but larger, is listed separately, and shown in one of the last photos.
A sweet, vintage/antique Indonesian Silver Compact, with an overall raised reposse type floral embossed design. It is marked 800 on the bottom for silver content, and is octagonal in shape. It retains its original inserts, including the remains of powder and puff, and has an untouched, very dark patina.
Condition is excellent collectible vintage, as described above. A lovely thing for the collector, or to use and enjoy, coming from a smoke-free environment.
