Hello. Up for consideration is a Vintage Original Curtiss-Wright Corporation (aircraft manufacturer) Employee/Factory Worker Badge made by the S.G. Adams Co. of St. Louis Missouri.
Created in 1929 from the consolidationofCurtiss,Wrightand various supplier companies, the company was immediately the country's largest aviation firm and built more than 142,000 aircraft engines for the U.S. military duringWorld War II.
Built the famous P-40 Warhawk fighter plane of WW2.
Comes from my late father's collection of over 50 years.
Shows signs of use and age but I don't see any broken or missing parts (little enamel loss).
Nicely marked on back "S.G. Adams Co. St. Louis (see photo 5).
Pin extends/retracts and is held securely by the catch.
Made of Brass & Enamel (a magnet does not stick to the badge).
Badge is very shiny/brilliant with bold/saturated colors, wonderful graphics/design and clear/legible lettering and numbers that would display nicely.
Measures1 1/2 by 3/4 inches.
