VINTAGE Kirchhof "Life of the Party" FLAMINGO DANCERS tin litho tambourine noisemaker. 1950’s
A VERY RARE FIND!
Delightful and hard to find Vintage Tin Kirchhof Tambourine. Fun display piece! The Kirchhof Company made metal toys from the 1900 through the 1950's before it changed it name. The tambourine has a a pair of Flamingo Dancers or costume ball depicted on it.
The tambourine is marked: Kirchhof of Newark, N.J Made in USA" and "Life of the Party Products"

This particular design, featuring a pair of flamingo dancers or costume ball scene with dancers, Kirchhof's "Life of the Party" line of noisemakers.
Kirchhof was a company that produced metal toys and noisemakers, including tin lithographed items, from the early 1900s through the 1950s.
The "Life of the Party" mark was specifically used during the 1950s, distinguishing these pieces from earlier designs.
These tambourines and other noisemakers were popular party favors for events like New Year's Eve, birthdays, and Halloween.
Vintage tin litho tambourine circa 1940s/1950s. It’s in good condition on the front of the tambourine however, inside you will see spots of rust, oxidation and rust on the cymbals. If you look inside, please see photos, there is a symbol that may have been tightened or the wire replaced although after further inspection, it looks as though the wire is consistent with the wire used on all the symbols with it so it might have just come that way, but I did wanna point that out. There is some surface dust and such as well but, these are things that may be able to be cleaned off. If you know how to do it that is going to be of course, up to the buyers discretion to do so when their tambourine reaches them. Overall, for the advanced age of this tambourine tin litho, it really is in phenomenal condition, some light surface scratching and other minimal and expected signs of wear present.

This is a great vintage item, there are the expected signs of wear and age for an item of this vintage year, some surface scratching some oxidation, possibly light rusting however, overall this tambourine is absolutely stunning in person. It’s vibrant, it looks as though it’s been used a handful of times stored away and 60 years later here we are, it’s now ready and waiting for JUST FOR YOU!
It is a testament to what wonderful quality these old tin lit toys had when they were created, and it harkens to a simpler, festive time yesteryear, such fun!
