This impressive piece has an incredible history, having been personally scuba diver-collected in Florida waters over 25 years ago (late 1990s). Because live harvesting of horse conches is now completely banned under modern marine conservation laws, legally grandfathered vintage specimens of this massive size are highly sought after and rarely come to market.
