Vintage illuminated “PRESCRIPTIONS” hanging sign made by Neon Products of Lima, Ohio.
The sign measures approximately 24” wide and has a reverse-painted glass face with bold illuminated lettering. It has a great old pharmacy / drug store look and displays especially well when lit.
The glass is in excellent overall condition for its age, with strong color and a very nice appearance.
The sign is working, as shown in the photos.
The power cord has been replaced at some point, and the hanging chains are also newer replacements.
Please note that the plastic portion of the starter socket has a broken section. The starter still fits in the socket and the sign does work, but it may require a little manual adjustment at times when first turning the sign on. Once it starts, it operates normally.
The metal housing shows normal age-related wear, including surface wear and paint loss, particularly along the bottom edge.
