VTG Cancun Mexico Stamped Brass Souvenir Plate 11\" Hand Painted Aztec Designs For Sale

This listing is for a beautiful brass Cancun, Mexico souvenir plate. The designs are Aztec inspired and are stamped into the plate. They have then been hand painted in bright colors. The designs are ornate and intricate. The plate has quite a bit of patina on it that I did not attempt to remove as I did not want to damage the hand painted details. Please refer to the pictures for the best description of its condition.
I purchased this at an estate sale of a lady who travelled extensively. I believe she purchased this in a gift shop in Cancun, Mexico in the 1980\'s. I have no other provenance for the plate.
The outside rim edge of the plate is rolled to the back to form a smooth edge. There are no significant scratches or gouges, but as mentioned above, there is some patina on the brass back and some of the hand painted details show some wear. There are no dings or dents and it is not warped or bent out of shape.It can stand alone, propped on an easel or be hung on a wall via the attached hanger on the back. It will make a lovely addition to a gallery wall or a stunning stand alone statement piece on a bookshelf or side table.
