This vintage decorative miniature French Country mahogany chest with an inlaid top and three drawers is notable for the intricate design and finely detailed craftsmanship. This piece was crafted by hand, and issigned "Wm. P. Yankauer 1976." Mr. Yankauer was an expert hobbyist who created distinctive one-of-a-kind pieces from approximately 1970-2000.
The top surface features a meticulously executed diamond shape inlay. The subtle curves of the top, drawers, and legs of this piece superbly characterize the French country styling. Each of the three drawers is completely removable and individually lined with a decorative paper. The drawer pulls are particularly elegant.
