VTG Dillard\'s Trimmings Holy Family Nativity Porcelain Gold Accents Figurine Music Box READ
Beautiful vintage Dillard\'s Trimmings PorcelainHoly Family Nativity musical figurine, featuring Joseph, Mary and the infant Jesus rendered in glossy ivory-white porcelain and mounted on a substantial round music-box wood base.
This is an especially ornate example, richly embellished with gold-tone gilt decoration and clear and amber jewel/rhinestone accents. Joseph’s robe features striking openwork pierced porcelain filigree, including an elaborate jeweled medallion design on the back. Mary is beautifully detailed with a pierced gold-trimmed halo, scrolling gold decoration and jewel accents, while Baby Jesus rests in a sculpted manger decorated with gold stars.
The faces are delicately hand painted, and the flowing robes have deep sculptural folds. The contrast between the ivory porcelain, sparkling jewels, gold detailing and warm wood base makes this a particularly impressive Christmas or religious display piece.
Important Music Box Condition -The porcelain display portion presents very nicely; however, the musical mechanism is not currently working. The winding key appears to have been overwound and will not operate.There is a round wooden access panel on the underside of the base, but it does not open easily and has not been forced or removed. Therefore, the internal mechanism has not been inspected or repaired.
Please consider the music-box mechanism nonworking and sold AS IS for repair or display. The piece remains beautiful as a decorative Nativity even without the musical function. Includes the original Dillard\'s Trimmings storage box, original fitted Styrofoam inserts and protective plastic bag.

Very good vintage cosmetic condition overall. The porcelain figures remain highly attractive with brilliant glossy surfaces, extensive gold decoration and sparkling jewel accents. No chips, cracks or repairs.
Please note: the music mechanism does not work and appearsoverwound. The round wooden bottom access panel is tight and has not been opened or forced. Musical mechanism is untested internally and sold AS IS.
